Christopher A. Payne, DDS, MAGD

Christopher A. PayneDr. Chris Payne is a Danville native, and graduated from Tunstall High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of William and Mary in 1998. After he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003 from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Payne came to Danville and joined with Danville Dental Associates.
Dr. Payne is a general dentist practicing orthodontics and family dentistry. He was the first dentist in Virginia to achieve both Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry as well as becoming a fellow in the International Association for Orthodontics. Dr. Payne has completed over 2,000 hours of continuing education since graduating from VCU, enabling him to be awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). He is a general dentist that treats many orthodontics patients because he truly enjoys helping improve the appearance and function of their teeth. Dr. Chris Payne is a member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association, as well as the Piedmont Dental Society and Danville Regional Dental Society. He holds membership in the International Association for Orthodontics and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Payne cares for smiles of every age. In the past, Dr. Payne worked with Head Start to help children begin building a foundation in good oral hygiene habits. He has participated in the Southwest VA Mission of Mercy project and the Danville Mini-MOM (Mission of Mercy) project where adults and children who may have otherwise not been able to obtain dental care were treated.
Dr. Payne was instrumental in establishing the Give Thanks for Smiles project sponsored by Danville Dental Associates. Each year all locations for Danville Dental offer dental services to the community for $50 per procedure. On that day, the doctors and staff provide hygiene services, x-rays, extractions and restorative services. All proceeds for the day are donated to a local charity. Over the past several years, approximately $18,000 was given to a local food bank, God’s Storehouse.
Dr. Payne is a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He married his wife, Han, in 2003. Together, they have two sons, Zachary and Sam, and one daughter, Olivia.


Dr. David Jones

Dr. David JonesDr. David Jones was born and raised in Martinsville, Virginia. He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, followed by his 2-year specialty residency training at the MCV Department of Orthodontics. He has practiced in Martinsville for over 30 years, providing braces, Invisalign, and Invisalign Teen to children and adults seeking to improve their smiles and boost their self-confidence. 

  

 

 

 

 

 


Dr. Nicole DeShon

Dr. Nicole DeShonDr. DeShon grew up in Gastonia, NC, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2007 with a B.S. In Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2011 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. DeShon received an M.S. in Orthodontics and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
