Openbite
An openbite is when the upper front teeth do not contact the lower teeth. This is most common in the front teeth. Causes of an openbite include excessive thumb sucking as well as a hereditary abnormal jaw structure.
Problems arising from an openbite may include:
- Poor or painful chewing
- Speech impairment
- TMJ disorders
